YouTube videos for SEOPosting videos on YouTube and linking them back to your website can be a great way to generate high quality, inbound links to help you increase your SEO (Search Engine Optimization).

Inbound links, such as those from videos, can help drive your business in two ways:

1. They drive more traffic to your site

2. They increase your rank on the SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages)

With both these items, in order for them to be beneficial, someone has to find the link and then click on it. While a YouTube video can generate a link to your website, you need to first get people to watch it. With more than 50 million users on YouTube, it is estimated to be the 3rd top visited Internet website (behind Google and Facebook), and there is a great opportunity to harness that traffic to drive visitors to your website. However, you are competing with the more than 48 hours of new videos which are uploaded to YouTube every minute. That is a huge amount of competition for the YouTube visitor and your potential link-clicker.

To have your video stand out and be found, it needs to be searchable. The best way to do this is to define keywords and then work them into the title and a description.
